I was craving something different so I went outside my norm of ribeye steaks and went flank. I even went further outside my norm of adobo seasoning and decided I wanted a chimichurri marinade.
Chimichurri is a simple but tasty sauce made from different herbs and oil. The flavor penetrates meat or veggies.
Here’s the recipe for the sauce that you can use it pretty much anything.
8 garlic cloves
½ cup red wine vinegar
2 tsp. salt
½ cup cilantro
¼ cup parsley
1 cup oil
- Chop everything into tiny pieces.
- Add the oil.
- Pour over meat or veggies.
- Let it soak for a few hours.
- Cook meat or veggies by grilling them until done.
