Spring is here which means most farmer’s markets will have squash blossoms for sale. I was lucky enough to have some squash blossoms growing in the garden. As I was watering the squash I got hungry so I picked a few blossoms and deep fried them…with string cheese!<\/p>\n
Squash blossoms (remove the stem in the middle with pollen)<\/p>\n
Tempura batter<\/p>\n
Something to stuff them with…cheese, dates, honey, etc…<\/p>\n
Stuff the blossoms.<\/p>\n
If you’re afraid of the contents spilling out, tie the open end with chive leaves.<\/p>\n
Heat the oil.<\/p>\n
Prepare the tempura batter as directed on the box.<\/p>\n
Deep fry and enjoy.<\/p>\n
