Here’s a quick, easy, and tasty recipe for short ribs. There are many variations of this recipe. Mine depend on what ingredients are in stock. I was fortunate enough to have an Asian pear this round. If I did not have a pear or some kind of fruit, I would have added honey. In theory, the Asian pear tenderizes the meat.<\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/h2>\n

4 pounds of short ribs<\/p>\n

1 onion<\/p>\n

1 bulb of garlic<\/p>\n

1 Asian pear<\/p>\n

2 cups soy sauce<\/p>\n

1 cup brown sugar<\/p>\n

1 cup white sugar<\/p>\n

1 cup cooking wine<\/p>\n

1\/2 cup sesame oil<\/p>\n

1 tablespoon black pepper<\/p>\n

Method<\/h2>\n

  1. In your food processor or something similar, mash up the onion, pear, and garlic. You can shred them.<\/li>\n
  2. In a bowl, add all the ingredients.<\/li>\n
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight.<\/li>\n
  4. Setup your BBQ grill.<\/li>\n
  5. Grill over hot coals or high heat for 4 minutes on each side.<\/li>\n
  6. Let it rest for a little.<\/li>\n
  7. Decorate with green onions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
