I was bored so I made a tomahawk steak.<\/p>\n
2.5 pound tomahawk steak<\/p>\n
5 tablespoons of your favorite seasoning<\/p>\n
or<\/p>\n
1 tablespoon kosher salt<\/p>\n
1 tablespoon fresh ground pepper<\/p>\n
1\/2 tablespoon paprika<\/p>\n
1 tablespoon garlic powder<\/p>\n
Oil, not olive oil.<\/p>\n
Combine your favorite seasonings into a bowl.<\/p>\n
Coat the tomahawk in oil.<\/p>\n
Sprinkle your seasoning all over the steak and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.<\/p>\n
Take out the steak at least 25 minutes before you think you’ll put it on the grill.<\/p>\n
Set your grill\/smoker to as hot as it can go.<\/p>\n
Once it reaches the hottest level, please the steak on the grill. Turn down the heat to about 225 degrees.<\/p>\n
Cook for about 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 120 degrees.<\/p>\n
Here’s where I go crazy with new technology.<\/p>\n
Let the steak rest for a good 15 minutes. Startup your air fryer and set to 400 degrees.<\/p>\n
Cook the steak for 5 minutes, flip and cook for another 4. This will put a nice sear on the steak.<\/p>\n
TIP: you might have to cut the meat off the bone but you should keep it for presentation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
