Simple appetizer for large groups.<\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1 French baguette<\/p>\n

2 Tbsp olive oil<\/p>\n

125 g goat cheese, at room temperature<\/p>\n

250 g fresh figs, stems removed and quartered<\/p>\n

\u00bc Cup toasted hazelnuts<\/p>\n

Sea salt<\/p>\n

Ground black pepper<\/p>\n

Balsamic vinegar or honey, for garnish
\nFresh thyme<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Method<\/strong><\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.<\/li>\n
  2. Slice the baguette into \u00bc-inch pieces.<\/li>\n
  3. Place the sliced baguette on a rimmed quarter sheet baking pan. Drizzle with olive oil and salt. Bake until crispy and golden, about 5-7 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n
  4. Using a small spatula, spread about 1 tablespoon goat cheese on each crostini, covering most of the bread. Layer quartered figs on top of the cheese.<\/li>\n
  5. Sprinkle with toasted hazelnuts, fresh thyme and season with a little sea salt and black pepper on each crostini. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar or honey. Serve immediately and enjoy!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
