This is a question that we receive a lot. It usually goes, “I’m interested in getting a new knife. I need a good one but not too expensive. Which one should I get?”<\/p>\n
Usually, these people are the group that wants to move away from the knife set they bought at the grocery store and would like something a little more sophisticated. While I’d like people to jump into a knife that’s in the $600s I don’t think any knife should go under the possible amount of damage a new knife user would bring to it.<\/p>\n
This is usually where we ask what kind of cooking is done, what they would like to achieve. The response 80% of the time is they don’t know but want something sharp.\u00a0 We hope the disappointment does not show on our face and at that moment, we make the recommendation of getting the Henckels Classic 8″ chef knife.
