I&#8217;ve compiled my list of ingredients from the recipes.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s what I need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Potatoes<\/li>\n<li>Butter<\/li>\n<li>Heavy Cream<\/li>\n<li>Celery Root<\/li>\n<li>Rib Roast<\/li>\n<li>Sausage<\/li>\n<li>Onions<\/li>\n<li>Celery<\/li>\n<li>Carrots<\/li>\n<li>Leeks<\/li>\n<li>Yams<\/li>\n<li>Bell Peppers<\/li>\n<li>Chicken Stock<\/li>\n<li>Pork Shoulder<\/li>\n<li>Red Potatoes<\/li>\n<li>Tomatoes<\/li>\n<li>Cabbage<\/li>\n<li>Salad<\/li>\n<li>Corn<\/li>\n<li>Cranberries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>My dad once told me that I should organize my list before I go shopping at the grocery.\u00a0 He said by doing so, you&#8217;ll keep your frozen food frozen and you&#8217;ll walk less.\u00a0 While I try to do this, there are times when I head to the grocery just to relax and walk off some stress (I know I&#8217;m weird).\u00a0 But here&#8217;s the revised list:<\/p>\n<p>Fruits and Vegetables (Aisle 1)<br \/>\nPotatoes<br \/>\nCelery Root<br \/>\nOnions<br \/>\nCelery<br \/>\nCarrots<br \/>\nLeeks<br \/>\nYams<br \/>\nBell Peppers<br \/>\nRed Potatoes<br \/>\nTomatoes<br \/>\nCabbage<br \/>\nSalad<br \/>\nCorn<br \/>\nCranberries<\/p>\n<p>Other<br \/>\nChicken Stock (Aisle 4)<br \/>\nStuffing mix (front of the store)<\/p>\n<p>Meats (in the back store)<br \/>\nTurkey<br \/>\nSausage<br \/>\nPork Shoulder<\/p>\n<p>Dairy (in the back of the store)<br \/>\nButter<br \/>\nHeavy Cream<\/p>\n<p>Yes, I put which aisles these items are found.\u00a0 As you get to know your stores you&#8217;ll know where the items are kept (they hardly change).\u00a0 Take a look at this picture.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/edelalon.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/grocery.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2392\" title=\"grocery\" src=\"https:\/\/edelalon.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/grocery.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"303\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.edelalon.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/grocery.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.edelalon.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/grocery-300x227.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Does it look similar to your store?\u00a0 These are universal concepts in store layout and design.\u00a0 You&#8217;ll notice that most of the items you need are in the outer edges of the store.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve noticed that I&#8217;ve reduced the number of steps and in-store time by 75% by planning ahead&#8211;it was part of an experiment where a friend and I shopped for the same items except that I planned ahead knowing the general location of each item.\u00a0 We both wore a pedometer and timed ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>Remember to take inventory of your ingredients in stock, and then make your organized list before you go shopping.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shopping day!
