\"\"<\/a>I’ve never really understood a time when you would want to slap and hug someone at the same time until now. A good friend of mine, Helen Chuan, surprised me this morning with a gift from the freezer. I instantly saw the words COOLHAUS and Bacon come to my attention as I held the cold packaging. I was gifted a \u201cLOUIS BA-KAHN\u201d from COOLHAUS. It is a chocolate chip cookie and brown butter candied bacon ice cream sandwich.<\/p>\n

This 5.2 ounce ice cream sandwich is definitely \u201carchitecturally-inspired\u201d. In the past, I consumed a ton of bacon flavored ice cream with bacon chunks in them but I’ve never had an ice cream like this one before. What makes this ice cream stand out is that the bacon is crispy. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that the bacon is candied because I’ve had other ice cream shop there with candied bacon where the bacon comes out soggy and chewy.<\/p>\n

The brown butter flavored ice cream on its own stands out very well. It is very creamy and the consistency works well with the cookie and bacon. The cookie portion of the sandwich didn’t amaze me. I use the cookie more as a delivery mechanism for the delicious ice cream. However, the cookie did stand out because it was crispier than others I\u2019ve had.<\/p>\n

Oh, this is what I ate for breakfast.<\/p>\n
