Chocolate Coffee Bites

Many of you know that I love coffee and chocolate and I’d dive into a pot of these two ingredients without question. It’s been years since I’ve seen Pocket Coffee on the shelves and I’ve lost my Italy connections. Randomly, I was at Cost Plus World Market. While on my search for Pocket Coffee, I asked one of the staff members to help me out. At first I asked for Pocket Coffee but he clearly didn’t know what I was talking about. I started to describe…candy, chocolate, filled with coffee.

At that point, he got a big grin on his face and said, I don’t have that but I think I have something that might work. He told me to follow him. At this point, I think I was skipping/hopping right behind him. He presented me an unopened box. He said that he doesn’t even know what it is and it just arrived. I read the outside of the unopened box; Cold Brew, Wild Ophelia, Sea Salt Caramel Latte.

I didn’t even bother buying one to test. Instead, I bought that unopened box and then purchased the other unopened box of Mexican Vanilla. I quickly left the store and opened the box. It was a Willy Wonka moment. No golden ticket but I discovered my new favorite treat.

I quickly unwrapped the Sea Salt Caramel Latte. Inside there were 4 cubes of chocolate. It didn’t look full of coffee but just in case, I put one piece in my mouth and bit down. Sure enough the coffee seeped out and soon my mouth was full of chocolate and coffee. Instead of eating the other 3, I opened the Mexican Vanilla and tried that out too. The sea salt caramel tasted like sea salt caramel. The Mexican vanilla tasted like Mexican chocolate. All this chocolate with a nicely cold brewed coffee to fill in the space.

Now I have to try the Jet Black flavor.
