I’m about 205 hours into Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I’ve seen scorpions around my island and every time I tried to catch them I would get stung. I traveled to a Nook island to get some wood. Gathering wood in this game is a tedious process but I’ll save that for another time. I ended up on scorpion island or at least that’s what I’ve been told by others who play the game.
I thought that I’d give it a shot and try to catch a few. I failed badly for the first 4 times. Then I thought to myself, I don’t think scorpions can jump over holes. Sure enough, they cannot jump over holes and they will keep trying to get at you. At the same time, the net can reach over the hole.
To sum it up, you want to build a hole shelter and attract the scorpion as you safely hide behind the hole wall. You’re lucky if a scorpion spawns between you and the hole. If this does not happen you can get the scorpions’ attention and then run behind your hole wall. You want to make sure you run around the corner to confuse the scorpion and keep it on the other side.
