Hawaiian Airlines Elevates In-Flight Connectivity with Free Starlink Wi-Fi

In a groundbreaking move, Hawaiian Airlines has become the first major U.S. carrier to offer free, high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire Airbus fleet. This initiative marks a significant leap forward in inflight connectivity, providing passengers with seamless internet access on transpacific flights.

Hawaiian Airlines bringing island hospitality to new heights—with free, high-speed internet powered by Starlink now available on board. As soon as you take your seat, you can connect instantly—no login pages, no fees, no hassle.

Whether you’re streaming your favorite shows, playing games with friends back home, checking emails, or posting those first breathtaking island photos, Starlink’s premium satellite technology keeps you connected from takeoff to touchdown.

Hawaiian Airlines is proud to be the first major airline to offer Starlink’s state-of-the-art inflight Wi-Fi. It’s just one of the ways we’re committed to making your journey as enjoyable as your destination. More importantly, it’s fast! Probably faster than your home network.

Seamless Connectivity Across the Pacific

Hawaiian Airlines has completed the installation of Starlink’s low-Earth orbit satellite technology on all 42 Airbus aircraft in its fleet, including 24 A330s and 18 A321neos. This advancement ensures that passengers can enjoy fast, low-latency internet suitable for streaming, gaming, and work—without any additional cost or complex login procedures .

A Game-Changer for In-Flight Experience

The integration of Starlink Wi-Fi represents a significant upgrade from traditional satellite internet services, which often suffer from high latency and inconsistent performance. With Starlink’s advanced laser mesh network, Hawaiian Airlines offers an inflight experience that mirrors the reliability and speed of home internet .

Future Expansion Plans

Looking ahead, Hawaiian Airlines plans to extend Starlink connectivity to its Boeing 787-9 fleet, with installations expected as new aircraft are delivered through 2027. However, the airline does not intend to equip its Boeing 717 aircraft, used for short inter-island flights, with this service.

There are some rules like: Hawaiian Airlines prohibits video or voice calls while onboard our aircraft. So you can’t do video calls even if you have your headset.

How to connect

  • As you board your flight, look for the “High Speed Internet by Starlink” decal on the door, indicating that internet service is available.
  • Simply connect your device to the “Starlink WiFi on HawaiianAir” Wi-Fi network. It’s that easy. No login or credit card required.

Hawaiian Airlines’ adoption of Starlink Wi-Fi sets a new standard for inflight connectivity, enhancing the travel experience for passengers flying between Hawaii and destinations across the Pacific. This initiative underscores the airline’s commitment to innovation and passenger satisfaction, positioning it as a leader in the evolving landscape of in-flight technology.
