Spyderco Fish Hunter

New knife! Well, new for me. This knife has been out for a few years now and I love it.

Per Spyderco…

Since the introduction of our remarkable Salt Series™ of knives, Spyderco has received numerous requests for a fixed-blade knife specifically designed to meet the demanding needs of free divers and spear fisherman. These daring sportsmen do not use SCUBA gear and dive deeply relying only on their ability to hold their breath for extended periods. If they become tangled in a fishing line, net, or other obstacle or have the need to dispatch a speared fish quickly, they need a dive knife that cuts very aggressively and has a sharp, very acute point. The Fish Hunter was designed to meet that challenge.

The heart of the Fish Hunter is its symmetrical hollow-ground blade. Crafted from H-1 steel, its acute point is ideal for quickly dispatching fish, while its fully serrated SpyderEdge™ cutting edge makes quick work of fishing line, rope, and anything else in its path. Despite its dagger-like appearance, its spine is not sharpened.

To ensure a secure grip in and out of the water, the Fish Hunter’s handle is injection molded from tough fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) and features high-traction Bi-Directional Texturing™ pattern. Its ergonomic shape “brackets” the hand to keep it firmly in place during use and includes a generous palm swell that makes it extremely comfortable for all hand sizes. The handle’s bright yellow color makes it easy to see in all conditions and a generously sized lanyard hole allows the easy attachment of security lines and lanyards.

The Fish Hunter comes complete with an injection-molded snap-fit polymer sheath. The sheath includes a fully configurable G-Clip™ attachment for belt wear, and is assembled with eyelets instead of rivets to allow it to be easily lashed or zip-tied to other gear.

I’m going to try to EDC this knife. Already…it’s too sharp. During the video, I was cut at least 2 times.
