Finding Ohana has to be one of the best movies released on Netflix since the start of COVID. For people that grew up on an island, especially Hawaii, understand many of the cultural references that were well written into the movie.
Here are a few that stuck out:
- Asking for permission before entering.
- Respecting a tomb.
- Don’t look at the lapu.
- The smell when lapu come around.
- Ohana.
