Nubble Lighthouse

There are moments in time when you just sit there and take everything in. You notice every detail that’s going on, minus conversational chatter, such as the birds, insects, and the direction wind is blowing. I had this type of moment while having a mouth full of lobster and with a lighthouse a few yards away.

Here I am, sitting in the Town of York, Maine eating away at lobsters and staring at history. Sure Nubble was built in the late 1800s…but most of you reading this were born in the late 1900s. Nubble, like many lighthouses was built in 1874 to help mariners guide their way around the rocky coasts of Maine. Today, Nubble is part of the National Register of Historic Places to keep its place in our history.

If you have the opportunity, visit Maine, go to the Nubble lighthouse and eat lobster at Fox’s Lobster House.
