Invoice Template Excel 2010

I needed to make an invoice. I searched Microsoft’s Template Gallery and found a couple of invoices but none of them worked out for me. A lot of them had password protection so you are not able to perform certain functions like print or change things around.

I decided to make my own. This template was made in Excel 2010 and should be compatible with previous versions.

Let’s walk through it. The first thing you’ll notice is the logo. Guess what, you can change it. Add your own logo. Also at the top, you’ll see a place for address. This address information will repeat itself at the bottom of the page.

Now for the important stuff. The description, rate, quantity, total. The total is already has the calculation to multiply the rate and the quantity. Oh, I forgot to mention that you can change the headings to whatever suits your business. I usually have description, rate, hours, and total. Bottom line, you don’t have to change the calculations.

Moving downward to subtotal and taxes. If you don’t add tax, just delete the tax line.

For notes, I was trying to look for some kind of guarantee or service level agreement but I didn’t find one worthy for the kind of work that I do. Plus, I charge for interesting things out there. I hope you enjoy using this form.

Bok Choy in Garlic Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound bok choy
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger root
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 teaspoon corn starch

Method

Trim off the ends of the bok choy and coursly chop. I chop the white parts into 1/4 inches and the greens into 1 inch. You want to keep them separate since the cooking time for the leafy part is shorter than the white part.

In a separate bowl, combine water, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and corn starch. Pour vegetable oil and sesame oil in wok or chef pan over medium heat.

Heat the oils in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and ginger first. Do not burn them. Let them sweat as they release their flavor into the oil.

Add the white part of the bok choy. Add the leaves after 5 minutes. Cook and stir until leaves are wilted, 1 to 2 minutes. Add the corn starch, oyster sauce, soy sauce mixture. The corn starch mixture will thicken after 3-5 minutes. Remove from the heat and transfer to a serving dish.

Roasted Cauliflower Recipe

I found these purple cauliflower in the market the other day. The color was a light purple but after cooking it became a darker purple. The taste was just like any other cauliflower. However, there was a little more bitterness to it. I might have undercooked them but it didn’t bother me too much.

Here’s the recipe I used.

Ingredients

1 head of cauliflower
2-3 cloves of garlic, peeled and coarsely minced
Lemon juice from half a lemon
1/2 coriander
Olive oil (enough to coat the cauliflower)
Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
Parmesan cheese

Method

Preheat oven to 400°F. Separate the cauliflower into florets and put in a bowl. Add garlic lemon juice, salt, pepper, coriander, and olive oil in bowl. Toss to coat the cauliflower.

Place cauliflower on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cauliflower browns. Test for doneness. Remove from oven and sprinkle Parmesan cheese.

Just saw Gwyneth Paltrow on CMA Awards. Her performance was amazing and it totally beats Cruisin’ with Huey Lewis. You can see a hint of nervousness but around midway she starts having fun with it. However, is her guitar even plugged in? It’s understandable if it’s not because her voice rocks!

Props to Waikiki! There’s something to the lyrics but I think I’m just a little more excited knowing he’s Filipino/Puerto Rican. I guess it doesn’t hurt to have Nathalie Kelley in the video. It makes me smile knowing that he uses a “breakdown” in organizing the song. You’re smiling too if you know what I’m talking about or have been in the entertainment business as long as he has.

Inner Join

Also called Join. This join returns the rows present in both the left table and right table only if there is a match. Otherwise, it returns zero records.

Full Outer Join

Also called as Full Join. This join returns all the rows present in both the left table and the right table.

Left Outer join

Or called as Left Join. This join returns all the rows present in the left table and matching rows from the right table.

Right Outer Join

Also called as Right Join. This join returns matching rows from the left table, and all the rows present in the right table.

Friends With Benefits Movie

You have to love Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake especially if they are costarring in the same movie! I just saw the trailer for “Friends With Benefits” and it looks like a fun movie. The movie comes out on July 22, 2011 and I think I’ll add it to my summer movie list.

The synopsis for the movie so far is: The relationship between two friends gets complicated when they decide to get romantic. Hooray for romantic comedies! Directed by Will Gluck who produced Easy A, the movie seems to have a lot of sex scenes and interesting dialogues.

Here’s my favorite line so far, is when Justin Timberlake’s character, Dylan, says, “Let me sing some Third Eye Blind” and then he continues to sing “Closing Time.” Not Third Eye Blind! Semisonic!

I can’t wait.

Weekly Menu Planner and Grocery List

Here’s a system to help create a streamlined process to organize a weekly menu in your household. This menu planner is broken down into breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. The other part of this system is the grocery list. The grocery list is also broken down into days of the week.

I’m not sure about you but I like my ingredients fresh. The consequence is that I have to go grocery shopping mid-week (sometimes 3 times a week) to gain a certain level of freshness. Also, I rarely buy frozen foods.

I tried to categorize the grocery list but ran out of room. That’s why I have “other” at the bottom.
